Our New Years Party is upon us, and I need to confirm dinner and bowling reservations. So email me today to book your spot or you may be disappointed. Here is what the Rock is cookin...
We start at the
Coast Bastion Inn with a semi-formal dinner (dress accordingly) at 6:00 PM (see below for
Menu selection), after pictures its off to
Karina's house for a quick wardrobe change and some fun & games. Next we hit up
Splitsville for 10-pin Glow in the Dark Bowling. After that, we roll over to my
crib for some snacks and drinks including a chocolate fondue. Then its time to countdown the last few seconds of 2007. Finally, we will party like its 1999, with all sorts of games and activities, for example:
Texas Hold 'Em, 4 on a Couch, Mafia, Mad Gab, 2 truths and a lie (jk), Cranium, Catch Phrase, Scattergories, Settlers of Catan, big screen video games like
HANG TIME,
Fuzion Frenzy &
DDR and maybe even a game of 7-up. We plan on having a great time hanging out and having lots of fun, you do not wanna miss this DRY NEW YEARS CELEBRATION. It will be sin free and totally full of holy fun-ness!
Depending on what you order at the Coast, the evening will run about $25 for dinner and $10 for 2 games of bowling & shoe rentals. Plus we will need everyone to pitch in $5 for midnight snacks(chocolate fondue etc). So save ur coin and pay me ASAP, perhaps this Friday, see below. Either way please have the courtesy of emailing me and telling me whether you are coming or not, thanks much!
There is a Christian Coffee House (
Daniels Den) taking place this Friday night 8:30 PM at the
MGM RESTAURANT, it is free but I will be ordering either a dessert or dinner. You are welcome to join us to hear some great music and have a good ol time.

Good eveing gang:
Well well, what an amazing weekend man...woo hoo! It all started Sat. PM with the Oasis Hockey Team playing their hearts out. Sun we enjoyed church and a nice curry potluck meal thanks to Milky and Bon Voyage to my favourite Japanese Brotha from a different Motha(more on this coo cat lata). Sun night was time to bust out my skating skills at the ANNUAL OASIS CHURCH SK8. It was a blast seeing people having fun and falling up?!? Monday Night @ the Manafest Concert was fo sho the place to be in D-town! The concert was over the top, you shoulda seen Robbo in the mosh during Fridays Cry...i know what ur thinking...."I DIDN'T KNOOOOOOW, THAT ROBB WAS A HARDCORE MOSHER" Well I guess you will hafta check out the pics and vids on my MEDIA page soon for all the 411. And to top it all off, we played some Texas Hold 'EM with Manafest. Later that evening Naoaki wowed the crowd with a spectacular hand. He was droppin some H-core hammers on us, with his straight flush. Oh don't worry, we caught it on video as well (coming soon to a website near you).
BS on Wed. was awesome as well, we had our Christmas Potluck Dinner. Thanks so much for all u peeps for bringing all the good food,snacks and drinks. After Dinner, we did our Gift Exchange,where Stu ended up with some of the most beautiful candles I have ever seen. We finished off the night with some 4 on a Couch, where the girls dominated the boyz.(They musta been cheatin...) Tonight, if you didn't know already, there is NO BS until the New Year. We are taking a break to celebrate the Birth of the Lord Jesus Christ!
Speaking of
New Years, I really need to hear from you right away about our
Party. I need to make dinner and other activity reservations before everything is booked. So don't procrastinate...participate. If there are not enough people committed to coming we will scrap the plans by this weekend. Our night will be similar to what we did
last year, with a fancy dinner, glow in the dark bowling, etc. Ask for details. So please email me by tomorrow or we may end up cancelling the whole thing.
Drop in Floor Hockey @ Woodlands is postponed till TUE. Jan 9. Come check it out, we had some crazy fans watching last time, so come and cheer us on and watch me beat Gareth like a rented mule.

Good day!
Hope ur weekend went well, we had a fun one. We spent the weekend up in Courtenay/Campbell River with Pastor Craig. It was good to visit with an old friend and enjoy God's beauty on this great Island. We even braved the cold wind and checked out Discovery Pier in CR, I felt like God rewarded us with a nice view of a huge Sea Lion swimming by.
BS went very well, it was a bit less formal than usual, but very beneficial. We all read
Col. 3, while listening to some majestic Worship music. Afterwards, I led a study on the chapter with many jumping in with good comments and deep thoughts (not with Jack Handy though...)
++ NEWSFLASH ++ NEW TIME ::: BS continues this Wed. 6:00 PM @ my place, we'll be having a Gift Exchange (bring a wrapped gift worth at least $4.99 before tax ) and a Potluck Dinner. Please be on time as we wanna eat ASAP, plus I gotta feed my kiddies and get em to bed for school. We need everybody to bring their fair share of food to share. Great morning!
Hey y'all, well it looks like this storm is over, did you praise Him thru it? What an eventful week it was eh, I mean wow, its not even winter yet. Hope you and yours remained warm and dry, and didn't need to be towed out of ur drive way!
BS was quite a bit different than usual, to say the least. With all the snow we weren't all able to make it, except for the guys with tanned necks and 4x4 Trucks (Say no to DODGE, haha, sorry Hailey,jk enter) So for those brave souls that made it, it was time for some winter fun. We did some hardcore 4x4ing @ Woodgrove and Dover, you shoulda seen me bumpin da tunes and doin some donuts. We had a blast with Robbo's Quad, he almost did a 360 turn with it too, haha!
BS continues this Wed. 7:30 PM @ my place, I am not sure what we will do WED. as we do not have a speaker lined up. I will likely jump in and do a devotion, but I am thinking JC wants to do a lil sumpin different. So come prepared for a lil change. Perhaps we will continue on with what God started the other week, like prayer/worship/sharing. We need somebody to snack it up...how about you? This is the last regular BS of the year, as the following Wed. we'll be having a Gift Exchange and some sort of Potluck. Email me some ideas yo. Would you like to do a Dessert Potluck or a full meal deal Potluck? I need to know ASAP so drop me a line aight!

Good blizzardy morning!
Its beginning to feel allot like...well u know. I had a blast over the weekend, making forts, having snowball fights and doin some hardcore sliding. I'm actually warming up to the snowy weather! Remember, change is good!
BS was off da heeze last WED. It was a great time of testimony, prayer and worship. All of us shared about what was God was up to in our lives and what He did up @ Consumed . Many of us opened up and shared from our hearts about some deep stuff that was goin on in our lives. Please continue to pray for one another and offer support for each others struggles. We really need each other, more than ever! So thanks to all of you for sharing so openly and honestly, we really are family!

Good mornin Saints!
We had a fabulous weekend up in Courtenay at CONSUMED, it was jam packed with fun, excitement and frenziness. We watched the Lions beat down the ALS at a sweet Grey Cup Party, complete with an awesome quiz, wow, it was amazing...Oh ya, the food was oh da heeze...mmm...mmm, baron of beef! Sorry girls, hope shopping was fun.
God moved powerfully at the Conference and it was great to hang out with all you guys. Thanks for getting right into it and receiving what JC had for you! I am gonna try to get the CDs of the sessions, so stay tuned and lemme know if you wanna listen to em.
BS was spectacular on Wed, Amanda led her first study on the Gift of Discernment. We had good discussion and a moving time of prayer. Don't miss out this Wed. 7:30 @ my place, we are going to take a week offa Spiritual Gifts to give us a chance to reflect on what we learned at CONSUMED. Please come prepared to share a few minutes about how your weekend was and what God spoke to you. I am expecting y'all to share to get on it please. Good mornin Crew!
We had a great weekend in Duncan, wow u sure missed all the fun fun! After a fabulous church service on Sunday we chilled at Stewbys for lunch and watched the Lions open up a can on the Green Riders. Stu's crib was so sweet too, like his HD quality TV and his 'new' Pleather couch. haha, "kidding" ghs. Its the real deal leather. Oops sorry Hakeem for stealin ur word dawg. Then it was off to Hockey Night in Cowichan, where we played an inter-squad game with the Oasis Crew. I wowed the crowd with my "skills that pay the bills". I wasn't really keeping track...but i tallied 2 goals and 3 assists thanks to Timbys generous goal tending debut.
BS has been nice and intimate lately, last Wed Karina led a great study on the Gift of the WORD OF WISDOM. Please join us if you can this Wed. 7:30 @ my place, when Amanda will be leading a study on the Gift of Discernment. I'm really looking forward to hearing Amanda lead for the first time, it will be dandy and I'm sure she will STICK IT. We need somebody to snack it up...will it be you?

Hope u had a great weekend, I sure did, I was chillin with my family and playing some sports with my kiddies. We had a blast at the Bonfire as well, I wish they had more of those spinny, glowy, seizure starting fireballs...haha. A shout out to Karina and her family for puttin it on.
Last week at BS we continued our new series on SPIRITUAL GIFTS. I shared a more lengthy introduction on each gift, it was a very informative discussion on each gift. Thanks much to all who helped the study go so well. Props to Kdawg who made a beautiful birthday cake for Tamara. This Wed. 7:30 PM at my place we are continuing the study.Tamara will lead the study on the GIFT OF WORKING OF MIRACLES. We need somebody to step up who hasn't yet and bring a snack for us all to share. Please email me if you can bring a lil sumpin sumpin.

Camp weekend was fun, we took in a class with Brandon on Sat. evening. Then Chad helped us Settle Catan, which I woulda easily won if people didn't chince me on the trades for rock! (Man something smelled....)
Last week at BS we started our new series on SPIRITUAL GIFTS. Just got back last nite from
Hockey Night in Cowichan, we had a blast watching the
Oasis Crew play their hearts out.Twas neat cheering for peeps we know and hang out with like Double D, Matty, Jordan and the crew. If only Stewby was on the ice...
BS was great, was good to get back at er, and get er done. Thanks 2 Hakeem 4 droppin some good BS. He challenged us in our faith and asked some questions that provoked deep thought. The good Samiritan came up large with the doz. Bon voyage, mon amie! We are continuing with BS this Wed. 7:30PM @ my crib, we are going to start a new series on Spiritual Gifts that will last several weeks. We will be doing a Spiritual Gift Discovery Survey, so come prepared to learn more about urself. Please read I Cor. 12 before you come, see link below. So far we have Gareth, Amanda and Karina willing to lead a BS in this series, anybody else?

Wowsa wowsa, did we ever have a great week, yet again. We had an enjoyable dinner at the Keg and we had fun rollin thru downtown to Pirate Chips. Then it was off to Thanksgiving Camp the music was amazing and the speaker was phenomenal. We were encouraged to go for God with all we had, to step up and stand up 4 JC. I wanna continue with the theme of God's power and spiritual gifts...so stay tuned! I wanna get y'all involved with leading BS again allot, so please email me if can lead a BS some time in the near future.
So this Wed we get at er again with BS at my crib. Christan will be leading the study after at time of worship. We wanna chow down on snacks afterwards so can you please bring sumpin. Email me if u can.

Good day:
Our first BS of the season was very successful, Karina led us in worship and after a time in prayer we studied John 13. It was a nice time of reflection on God's love for us and how He calls us to love others. Jesus was moving and good stuff was happening, thanks for all of you who participated!
We're going curling again! This Wed. Sept 27 there is a free open house at the Nanaimo Curling Club. I currently have reservations for 6: Dan, Tamara, Stu, Milk, Karina, Laura (sorry if i missed you, just not sure who all wanted to go). So if you wanna go email me today so I can bump up the number! It runs between 7 PM - 9 PM, be sure to dress in warm layers and more importantly bring a separate pair of extremely clean shoes with you (don't wear them until you get inside)
Ignition is this Sat. Sept 30 7:00 PM (Doors Open 6PM) at the Save On Memorial Centre in Victoria, featuring Tree 63. There's only 22 tickets left at the Nanaimo Christian Book Store and 15 @ in Duncan so head down there before they all get gobbled up. We're planning to head back to camp that night and then go to Oasis Church in the morning. It'd be a good idea to carpool so ask around.
Tehillah is on tonight (7:00 PM) and concludes with a going away Pizza Party for the Artist formerly known as the Plunder Lead Singer. Apparently, K-dawg is in on some big drum solo...this I gotta see!
Joel and I will be having a OPENING BS PARTY at the Keg next Wed. Oct. 4th. Why just him and I, well he is the only one who has emailed me an intent to attend...lol. Let me know if you wanna come so I can reserve more than just a table for 2.

Howdy gang:
Once again, Wallyball was off the heezy. You should've seen Hakeems new dream team tearing it up! We're going to have our first BS at my crib 7:30 this Wed (tomorrow) the 20th . Afterwards come down to my pimp garage so I can shark you on my new pool table.
We need to start planning for Ignition on Sept 30. There's only 5 tickets left at the Christian Book Store so head down there before they all get snatched up. We're planning to head back to camp that night and then go to Oasis Church in the morning. It'd be a good idea to carpool so ask around.

Wow the Starfield ( check out their Myspace see if u can get into their TOP 8,I'm sure Sammy did) Concert was so very HOT! We were all on fire man, it was unbelievable. We even got 2 autographed CDs, haha, thanks to Milky and Sammy. Wallyball was so much fun, we have decided to go again one last time. Hey crew:
Sorry if you were all waiting on my email yesterday, I needed to wait for the outcome of the NBA GAME. The choice of our restaurant for our WRAP UP DINNER on Thursday night was dependant on who won because we wanted to be able to watch the potential Game 7.
We have been planning on going to the Dinghy Dock Restaurant on Protection Island. Although, if a certain gymnast is late getting to the Ferry we will change our plans. Confusing? Well listen up, here is the plan. You can park at Port Place Mall (the artist formerly known as Harbour Park Mall) on the Front St.(Water Side) near the Liquor Store. Then you can walk across the street to the Protection Island Ferry Terminal (see Map on the site). We will meet there this Thur. June 22 at 6:45 PM for the 7:10 PM Ferry, don't be late please.
Like I said before, I have a Free Ferry Coupon for the first 10 people arriving (preference will be given to reg. BS'ers). Otherwise, bring 6 bone for the return fare, I'm sure we will be aight though, so chillaxe. We will likely catch the last ferry back at 10:00 PM when the restaurant closes.

Qwanoes was off da hezzy, you shoulda been there! We had a blast doing water sports and all sorts of fun & games like rock climbing. We will have all the pics up sometime soon.
Well summer was here, haha...Last Wed. a bunch of us went Lawn Bowling and boy oh boy, did we ever have a time. We were tearing up the course BIG TIME. This week, BS is at my crib on WED 7:30 PM, I am speaking about " Finishing Well". Naoki dropped BS last week about Weakness , he asked some thought-provoking questions and it was very beneficial. This week at BS we are doing a Special Event we are goin Lawn Bowling. It all starts WED 7:30PM at the Bowen Seniors area, where the Lanes are located. It is right next to the Kin Pool and up from the Tennis Courts on Bowen Road. Please bring flat shoes and be prepared to bowl it up. If you have a frisbee kicking around, bring it as we may play some FROLF afterwards. We will likely hit up some downtown eating establishment when we are done, so bring some bling!
Road Trip this Saturday, we will leave at 11AM to be at

Wow, camp was great again this Long Weekend, we were there from Friday night till Monday morning. We took in a full weekend of activities. God is so good and faithful to all of us. Man alive, you missed a great NCG led by
The Tim Byron Band. We went for like 2 hours straight just worshipping and singing, it was a remarkable time with JC.
Last week Ed led BS about Spiritual Warfare, he shared some personal experiences and it was eye-opening. Good job Ed! This week, BS is at my crib on WED 7:30 PM, Samira is speaking about "PASSION". What a blast we had at Camp over the weekend. NCG was great with PMC from Courtenay. Amy schooled up on Ed in goal at Hockey Night in Cowichan. We havent been to camp in a couple weeks so we are going again this weekend. It'll be a special weekend because Saturday night at NCG Pacific Maters Commission from Courtenay will be there. Oasis church is the next morning and I will be the guest speaker so make sure you come check it out! GYM NIGHT was so fun, we had a good turnout and had a blast playing a bunch of games including Egyptian Handball. Spring Break Camp was awe-sum! We had a good God time, the music & speakers were great and we had loads of usual Camp fun. BS was excellent too, we went to WORD ON THE STREET and we led the service. I was so proud of how our crew got in there and got involved in the ministry. Tomorrow (TUE 9:00 PM) we are having a GYM NIGHT at Woodlands School, we will be playing a number of different games so it should be a blast. Happy Valentines Day:
We had a nice intimate evening of BS, it was a special time of Prayer and Worship to be sure!
This Wed. we are heading out on a ROAD TRIP, this time we are travelling north. We are going to take in an evening session of a leadership conference taking place at Courtenay Foursquare (corner of Burgess/Cumberland). The conference is called KLESIS and has been remarkable in the past, so I really encourage you to do your best to make it out. Call me if you need help with carpooling, otherwise, I hope to see you up there. The conference is free but there will likely be an offering taken up. We will likely chilll afterwards at Timmys or somewhere, so we should make it back into town around 11PM.
We are still seeking God as to the direction of our next series of Bible Studies, feel free to send me your thoughts. We wanna be in the centre of God's will, so lets believe for His guidance!

Saturday, we are hosting a New Years Eve Party; come and chill for a while. We will be starting with dinner, at 6 PM. We booked in at the COAST BASTION HOTEL – Cutters Restaurant (11 Bastion St./Downtown) 6:00 PM (we had thought of Boston Pizza but the Coast will be so much better). There is pay parking or free parking on the street or at the Mall. We are going formal so please dress appropriately. That’s right, its time to bust out your suits and ties boyz! Long time no talk, sorry for missing last weeks e-newsletter…I bet you all missed it so much eh?!? Well we have been busy these last couple of weeks and God has been doing some great stuff. Our Camp weekend was off the hook and our Gift Exchange was ill son!
Well we got another busy week to finish off the year. It all starts tonight at Avalon Theatre (Woodgrove), where we will be watching NARNIA at 7:10 PM. Come early before it sells out!
Wednesday BS (7:30 PM) is back on schedule, bring your Bible and get ready to Jesus it up! Finally, on Saturday, we are hosting a New Years Eve Party, we would love to have you join us to bring in 2006. We will be starting with dinner at 6PM then we will do a bunch of different activities. I am so excited about this weekend at Camp! Lets go with an attitude of expectation. Just a friendly reminder about tonight’s dinner, it is semi-formal, so I suggest a shirt/tie for the guys and leg warmers for the girls. As some of you know, we are planning a great weekend at CAMP. So here is what’s up at Camp, Dec. 16-18 (Fri. Nite <6:30 PM> Dinner/Silent Auction, Sat. Nite NCG Christmas, Sun. Church and Sun. Evening Skating Party). We need to know by Wed. if you are coming for all or part of the weekend. The Church needs reservations to be made for the semi-formal dinner on Friday night and we need to know who all is coming. So email me ASAP as to your plans please! Be sure to bring bling for the weekend for the Silent Auction, as it is a fundraiser for the OASIS YOUTH GROUP. The dinner is free but they are planning on raising funds through the Silent Auction. Our NCG/Oasis Road Trip was tight; they allow us to stay over so we can attend church in the morning, so we get to chill in the Valley overnight. I think it would be cool if we do something like that 2x/month. What think?

We are still doing a gym night on THUR 9PM at Woodlands Gym, so invite a friend or 3 at the most please. Its free like JC and should be a blast, we will likely TIMMY HO it up afterwards so bring bling. Christan is gonna hook us up with fun games like: Dodgeball, African Handball, Indoor Soccer and maybe I can school Eddie at some 3 on 3. Remember Edith I will have home court advantage..."I put the Golden in 'Golden Eagles', bahaha.

Good afternoon ladies & gentlemen:
Wow, we had a great time last week at BS on Wed., props to Karina who led the study and worship so wonderfully. Then it was party time on Thur at my crib! Haha, what a blast that was. It was nice beatin y'all at all those games, lol. Thanks so much for bringing all that good stuff to eat and for the Christmas Boxes as well. We did up 5 boxes from our YA Group and you should be proud of that.
We had a bit of a road trip on Sat, to NCG at Cowichan Camp com it was ill son. The attendance is growing steading for NCG, hope you can be a part of something great that JC is up to here on the Island. I would like to go together as a group on a regular basis, what think? Lemme know aight? A few of us stayed over at Camp in the "HILTON", I was in "B UNIT" and it was tight. The Oasis church.com service was very touching, for me especially.
We fininished off the weekend at FULL CIRCLE, where we had a nice surprise, in that the STUDENT SPEAKER was Paula. Peej was so nervous about doing it but she fought through the fear and was obedient. Was great to hear what God has been upto in her life.

Hope life is good, actually life is what you make of it eh?!?! BS was off the hook last week, we had a great time of sharing, caring and praying. Props to Carla for droppin BS on us and Paula for having the courage to share about her brother. I really feel our group is coming together nicely, looks like JC is up to something good, and I mean good good...
Ok so tonight we are having a regular BS , WED 7:30 PM at my house. Karina is leading a BS into the life of ENOCH, his story is found in Genesis (Chapt. 4,5).
Thats all I can think of other than Full Circle is this Sunday and Tehillah is Monday... Be a blessing!

Hey Peeps:
Thanks so much to all of you for a great POTBLESS, it was great to see all of us pitch in and help out with everything that needed to be done. The food/drinks that you guys brought was awesome, I sure appreciate your effort. So what do you think, wanna do it up again next month?
